of things! To save you some time in ringing
or emailing us for a response, we've compiled a FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions) below.
Support
Q: Who will look after me and my laptop
once I have bought it ?
A: Metabox laptops are covered by 100% Australian
support. You will never be shuffled off to an overseas
call centre with long delays - You will speak to Technicians
who actually work on, and know the laptops - not just
people hired to run through scripted support responses
to frequently asked questions! Brands such as ASUS,
Toshiba, HP laptops are covered in Australia by
third party support companies who offer both onsite,
and pickup and deliver services
as well as telephone support via
the Asus support contact number.
Shipping Q:
How long will it take to get my laptop ? A: We endeavor to build
and deliver all our custom-configured ITC, Metabox, and Asus laptops within 3-10
working days, to all locations around Australia. Of course, custom built orders
are subject to all your requested components being in stock. We utilise Australian
Air Express and other locally based courier companies such as Startrack Express
and Courier Metro. When your order ships, we will supply your Consignment note
ID, this can be tracked via the web, or by phone, depending on the courier. Occaisonally,
delays can occue due to reasons beyond our control.
Urgent orders Q: Help! I need this laptop ASAP! Do you
do urgent orders? A: Just contact us by email or phone with the date
you need it by. We'll contact our suppliers with your situation and get back to
you with an answer. In many cases we will be able to meet your deadlines if all
components are in stock. Payment
Q: How do I pay for my order?
A: We accept Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
direct bank transfer or cheques/money orders. Once
you have placed your order online we will issue you
an invoice via email. Attached to this invoice are
instructions on how to complete payment. If you have
chosen EFT (or bank transfer) you will be provided
with our bank account details. If you have chosen
credit card, you will be provided with a "Credit
Card Authority Form". You will need to fill this
in, sign it and fax it back to us for processing.
There is a 1.89% Bank charge for a credit card transaction.
Salary Sacrifice
Q: My work is requesting a receipt before they will reimburse me.
Are you able to supply me with a Salary Sacrifice receipt? A: Absolutely.
Once you have placed your order online we will issue you an invoice via email
for Salary Sacrifice purposes. If you would like this invoice to name a company
or someone other than yourself, just note this in the field marked "special"
when you place the order. Bulk Purchases
Q: Are you able to provide a discount for multiple purchases?
A: Yes, we can usually negotiate a better price for three or more machines
in one order. Other products
Q: Do you offer other brands of LCD monitors or mice and docking stations
etc? A: Yes, we have access to an enormous range of products from
most brands across the whole IT range. Our focus however is on hi-tech laptops
on this website - plain and simple. If there is an item you particularly wish
to get with your laptop purchase, just send us an email or call and we'll get
the best price for you. Students
Q: I am just curious to know if you do student discounts ?
A: Our online prices are heavily discounted. We'd love to discount even more especially
for students but we can't, as our suppliers don't offer special student discounts
either. Warranty Q: I
live in Melbourne so how would an ITC or Metabox warrantee claim work?
A: ITC's warranty commitments are the most comprehensive and customer centred
agreements available. When you contact ITC, you will not be waiting 30 minutes
to speak to a warranty personnel and that personnel will not be a scripted phone
operator but rather a knowledgeable, well equipped technician who is trained solely
in the field of notebook technology. If your ITC notebook fails, do not bother
with having to drive all the way to a service centre. ITC, in association with
Australian Air Express, will have your notebook picked up (typically on the same
day your warranty claim is made) and returned overnight to the nearest ITC repair
centre for prompt repair based on our Guaranteed Repair Time commitment.

We undertake to beat any price for an identical notebook at the identical
specification - if you see the icon on the order form, this guarantee applies
with the following provisions: The laptop must be named identically, be sold by
an Australian Retailer with an ABN, the notebook can not sold by a supplier in
an E-Bay Auction, and all specifications must be identical, and the notebook must
be in stock and available for delivery with the competitor. We will not pricematch
any notebooks that are named differently in any way, we will not pricematch dealers
not based in Australia, we will not beat quotes that can not be confirmed with
dealers as being authentic. You must supply a quote in the supplier's original
format with all supplier's contact information included for us to undertake to
beat it. Competitor's
Price must include their delivery charge. In any pricematches given, we reserve
the right to withdraw all 'Free' items offerred with any notebook. P4laptops.com.au
reserves the right to refuse a pricematch if the item being pricematched is not
able to be verified as being identical.
